Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) and the host Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC), witnessed R-S Central's softball squad tip Burns by a count of 2-0.

The Hilltoppers now sport a 6-0 record. They play next when they travel to East Rutherford for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A match on Tuesday, March 14. R-S Central will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Burns moves to 4-2 on the season. The Bulldogs host Crest (Shelby, NC) to meet the Chargers in a non-league match on Wednesday, March 15. The Chargers go into the match with a record of 2-2. Crest lost 17-7 in their recent non-league match against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC)
