Peoria Panthers (Peoria, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mohave Thunderbirds (Bullhead City, AZ), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Seton Catholic for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 14. Peoria will battle a Sentinels squad coming off a 8-5 league win over Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ). The Sentinels record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Mohave falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Yuma (Yuma, AZ) to battle the Criminals in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 15. The Criminals enter the challenge with a record of 0-7. Yuma lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Gila Ridge (Yuma, AZ)
