Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Riverdale Rebels (Jefferson, LA), 18-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Green Wave now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Covington for a 5A District 6 challenge on Thursday, March 16.

With the loss, Riverdale falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Willow (New Orleans, LA) to face the Lions in a 4A District 9 challenge on Tuesday, March 14. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Willow won 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against South Plaquemines (Buras, LA)
