St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders (Fort Lauderdale, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Somerset Academy Panthers (Pembroke Pines, FL), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Raiders now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Keys Gate for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 16. St. Thomas Aquinas will battle a Knights squad coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to Westminster Christian (Miami, FL). The Knights record now stands at 1-5.
With the loss, Somerset Academy falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Mater Lakes Academy (Miami, FL) to battle the Bears in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 15. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Mater Lakes Academy won 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Ransom Everglades (Miami, FL)
