The Freeport Pretzels crushed the visiting Winnebago Indians baseball team by a count of 8-1 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Pretzels now possess a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harvard for a non-league bout on Friday, March 15. Freeport will face a Hornets team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 2-1.
Next, the Indians face the Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 16. Winnebago will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The J-Hawks enter the bout with a 1-2 record after their 14-10 non-league loss to Durand/Pecatonica (Durand, IL).
