The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Catawba Ridge Copperheads (Fort Mill, SC) and the visiting Lexington Wildcats (Lexington, SC), saw Catawba Ridge's softball squad nip Lexington by a count of 6-5.

The Copperheads now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Seneca for a non-league match on Friday, March 15. Catawba Ridge will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 11-5 non-league loss to Westside (Anderson, SC). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Lexington falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to River Bluff (Lexington, SC) to face the Gators in a AAAAA Region 4 match on Friday, March 22. The Gators enter the match with a record of 0-1.
