Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos (Cerro Gordo, IL), 15-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Maroons now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lexington for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 15. Clinton will battle a Minutemen squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL). The Minutemen record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Cerro Gordo/Bement falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL) to battle the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 15. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Central A & M lost 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL)
