North Carolina High School Softball - South Caldwell bounces Crest

The South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) softball routed the host Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC), 11-1 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Spartans (6-0) will now prepare for their bout against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers go into the Northwestern 3A/4A bout with a 4-2 record. In their last bout, Watauga was routed by Patton (Morganton, NC), 6-3, in a non-league bout.
The Chargers now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Forestview for a Big South 3A bout on Thursday, March 14. Crest will confront a Jaguars squad coming off a 10-7 non-league loss to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 4-2.
