North Carolina High School Softball - Wakefield bounces Holly Springs

The Wakefield Wolverines routed the visiting Holly Springs Golden Hawks softball squad by a count of 10-1 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Wolverines (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Falls Lake (Creedmoor, NC). The Firebirds go into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Falls Lake topped Franklinton (Franklinton, NC), 12-0, in a non-league battle.

The Golden Hawks now sport a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Green Hope for a Southwest Wake 4A battle on Friday, March 15. Holly Springs will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 9-1 non-league loss to Leesville Road (Raleigh, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 4-2.
