ROWVA/Galva/Williamsfield Mid County Cougars (Oneida, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats (Washburn, IL), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Mid County Cougars now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brimfield for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 3.

With the loss, Lowpoint-Washburn falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Woodland (Streator, IL) to battle the Warriors in a Tri-County challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Woodland won 9-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Gardner-South Wilmington (Gardner, IL)
