The McMichael Phoenix softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Western Alamance Warriors to 2 in the Phoenix non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, McMichael improves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Phoenix host North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC) to clash with the Vikings in a Mid-State 2A game on Thursday, March 14. The Vikings come into the game with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves (Hillsborough, NC) in a Central 3A game, on Friday, March 15. Western Alamance will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Fighting Red Wolves come into the game with a 4-0 record after their 12-2 non-league win over Seaforth (Pittsboro, NC).
