The Bishop Ireton Cardinals baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints to 3 in the Cardinals non-league win on Thursday.
The Cardinals now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Episcopal for a non-league test on Monday, March 17. Bishop Ireton will clash with a Maroon team coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Gonzaga (Washington, DC). The Maroon record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, St. Stephen's & St. Agnes drops to 1-3 on the year. The Saints travel to Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league test on Saturday, March 15. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 0-3. Bishop McNamara lost 12-8 in their recent non-league test against Georgetown Prep (North Bethesda, MD)
