In Thursday's non-league game, the host Byng Pirates baseball team scored a nice 11-1 win over the Hugo Buffaloes.
The Pirates (2-0) will now prepare for their game against McLoud (McLoud, OK). The Redskins go into the 4A District 1 game with a 0-5 record. In their last game, McLoud was overwhelmed by Byng (Ada, OK), 15-1, in a league game.
Next, the Buffaloes play the Broken Bow Savages (Broken Bow, OK) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 14. Hugo will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Savages go into the game with a 5-1 record after their 6-5 non-league win over Idabel (Idabel, OK).
