The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Catholic - N.I. Panthers (New Iberia, LA) and the host Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA), saw Catholic - N.I.'s baseball team gain a win over Kaplan by a tally of 8-5.
The Panthers (11-7) will now prepare for their battle against Berwick (Berwick, LA). The Panthers enter the non-league battle with a 9-10 record.
Next, the Pirates face the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights (Lafayette, LA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, March 15. Kaplan will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 13-7 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Notre Dame (Crowley, LA).
