High School Baseball - Dalton defeats Varsity Opponent

The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Dalton Catamounts (Dalton, GA) and the host Varsity Opponent (, ), saw Dalton's baseball team gain a win over Varsity Opponent by a tally of 9-3.
The Catamounts (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against Hiram (Hiram, GA). The Hornets enter the AAAA Region 7 battle with a 7-6 record. In their last battle, Hiram was overwhelmed by Dalton (Dalton, GA), 7-1, in a league battle.
Next, the face the CHAAMP HomeSchool Hawks (Mt. Pleasant, TX) in a Freelance battle, on Friday, March 14. Varsity Opponent will attempt to upgrade on its 15-41 season record. The Hawks enter the battle with a 3-3 record after their 7-3 league win over East Texas Homeschool Sports (Longview, TX).
