In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Gadsden City Titans baseball team scored a close 4-0 win over the Douglas Eagles.
The Titans (4-8) will now prepare for their game against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, AL). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league game with a 6-10 record. In their last game, Jacksonville was overwhelmed by Munford (Munford, AL), 7-6, in a non-league game.
Next, the Eagles play the Sardis Lions (Boaz, AL) in a 5A Area 13 game, on Tuesday, March 18. Douglas will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record.
