The Woodward Boomers baseball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Fairview Yellowjackets to 8 in the Boomers non-league win on Thursday.

The Boomers now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Guymon for a non-league test on Monday, March 17. Woodward will play a Tigers team coming off a 11-0 league loss to El Reno (El Reno, OK). The Tigers record now stands at 2-4.

With the defeat, Fairview drops to 2-2 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Oklahoma Bible (Enid, OK) to play the Trojans in a non-league test on Friday, March 14. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 2-3. Oklahoma Bible lost 5-2 in their recent non-league test against Southwest Covenant (Yukon, OK)
