The Shiprock Chieftains softball team scored 22 runs and held the host Zuni Thunderbirds to 0 in the Chieftains non-league win on Thursday.
The Chieftains now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monument Valley for a non-league battle on Monday, March 17.
With the loss, Zuni moves to 0-1 on the season. The Thunderbirds host Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM) to confront the Hawks in a non-league battle on Monday, April 7. The Hawks come into the battle with a record of 0-0.
