Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the North Murray Mountaineers (Chatsworth, GA) and the host Ridgeland Panthers (Rossville, GA), saw North Murray's soccer squad knock off Ridgeland by a score of 4-1.

The Mountaineers (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Ringgold (Ringgold, GA). The Tigers enter the 2A Area 7 battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Ringgold tipped Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Panthers confront the Calhoun Yellow Jackets (Calhoun, GA) in a 3A Area 7 battle, on Tuesday, March 18. Ridgeland will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the battle with a 4-5 record after their 1-0 league loss to Gilmer (Ellijay, GA).
