In Thursday's non-league match, the host Pope John Paul II Jaguars softball team scored a tight 8-4 victory over the Academy of Our Lady Penguins.
The Jaguars (7-3) will now prepare for their match against Haynes Academy (Metairie, LA). The go into the non-league match with a 1-1 record.
In their next game, the Penguins battle the Archbishop Chapelle Chipmunks (Metairie, LA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, March 15. Academy of Our Lady will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Chipmunks go into the match with a 5-4 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Houma Christian (Houma, LA).
