Central Private Redhawks (Baker, LA) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers (Baton Rouge, LA), 15-5 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Central Private upgrades its record to 5-3 on the year. The Redhawks travel to Hammond (Hammond, LA) to play the Tornadoes in a non-league game on Friday, March 14. The Tornadoes enter the game with a record of 1-13.
The Redstickers now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Liberty Magnet for a 5A District 4 game on Tuesday, March 18. St. Joseph's Academy will play a Patriots squad coming off a 29-19 non-league loss to False River (New Roads, LA). The Patriots record now stands at 4-8.
