In Thursday's non-league match, the host Davie War Eagles softball team scored a tight 8-3 win over the Starmount Rams.

The War Eagles (7-1) will now prepare for their match against Reagan (Pfafftown, NC). The Raiders come into the Central Piedmont 4A match with a 7-0 record. In their last match, Reagan nipped East Wilkes (Ronda, NC), 5-4, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Rams confront the North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) in a Northwest 1A match, on Friday, March 14. Starmount will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record. The Vikings come into the match with a 1-2 record after their 14-4 league loss to Elkin (Elkin, NC).
