Tennessee High School Softball - Independence can't get by Mount Juliet

Mount Juliet Golden Bears (Mt. Juliet, TN) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN), 3-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Mount Juliet improves its record to 3-2 on the year. The Golden Bears host Gallatin (Gallatin, TN) to play the Green Wave in a 4A District 12 game on Thursday, March 20. The Green Wave enter the game with a record of 3-2.

The Eagles now hold a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hendersonville for a non-league game on Friday, March 14. Independence will play a Commandos squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Jo Byrns (Cedar Hill, TN). The Commandos record now stands at 4-3.
