The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Ware Shoals Fighting Hornets (Ware Shoals, SC) and the visiting McCormick Chiefs (McCormick, SC), saw Ware Shoals's softball squad topple McCormick by a score of 19-0.

With the triumph, Ware Shoals improves its record to 2-6 on the year. The Fighting Hornets host Abbeville (Abbeville, SC) to play the Panthers in a A Region 1 game on Tuesday, March 17. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 2-2.

The Chiefs now hold a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Dixie for a A Region 1 game on Tuesday, March 17. McCormick will play a Hornets squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Abbeville (Abbeville, SC). The Hornets record now stands at 7-0.
