The Alexander Central Cougars softball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers to 0 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Alexander Central improves its record to 7-0 on the year. The Cougars travel to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league game on Wednesday, March 16. The Mustangs come into the game with a record of 4-0. East Rowan won 22-1 in their recent league game against Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC)

In their next game, the Hilltoppers clash with the Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A game, on Tuesday, March 15. R-S Central will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Bearcats come into the game with a 0-2 record after their 10-3 non-league loss to Asheville Trailblazers (Asheville, NC).
