In Monday's non-league contest, the Walnut Mustangs (Walnut, CA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Bonita Bearcats (La Verne, CA), by a margin of 8-1.

With the triumph, Walnut moves its record to 10-6 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Los Altos (Hacienda Heights, CA) to clash with the Conquerors in a Hacienda game on Friday, March 18. The Conquerors come into the game with a record of 10-6.

In their next game, the Bearcats clash with the Alta Loma Braves (Alta Loma, CA) in a Palomares game, on Tuesday, March 15. Bonita will attempt to improve on its 10-3 season record. The Braves come into the game with a 4-6 record after their 17-16 non-league loss to Los Osos (Rancho Cucamonga, CA).
