In Monday's non-league contest, the Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) softball team held off the visiting Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL), by a margin of 11-10.
With the triumph, Prairie Central moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Hawks travel to Herscher (Herscher, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 15. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 0-0.
In their next game, the Trojans play the Fisher Bunnies (Fisher, IL) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, March 16. Dwight will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
