Laton Mustangs (Laton, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Granite Hills Grizzlies (Porterville, CA), 20-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Orosi for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 18. Laton will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 23-5 non-league win over Wonderful College Prep Academy (Delano, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Granite Hills falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Farmersville (Farmersville, CA) to battle the Aztecs in a East Sequoia challenge on Friday, March 18. The Aztecs enter the challenge with a record of 4-5. Farmersville won 10-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Kings Christian (Lemoore, CA)
