The Triad Knights softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Murphysboro Red Devils to 4 in the Knights non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Triad improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Knights travel to Freeburg (Freeburg, IL) to clash with the Midgets in a non-league game on Saturday, March 19. The Midgets come into the game with a record of 1-0. Freeburg won 10-6 in their recent non-league game against Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL)

In their next game, the Red Devils clash with the Trico Pioneers (Campbell Hill, IL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 15. Murphysboro will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
