The Oakwood Comets baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Dieterich Movin Maroons to 1 in the Comets non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Comets (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Casey-Westfield (Casey, IL). The Warriors go into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Casey-Westfield edged Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City (Cowden, IL), 4-3, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, Dieterich falls to 0-1 on the season. The Movin maroons travel to Lawrenceville (Lawrenceville, IL) to battle the Indians in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 15.
