In Thursday's league game, the host Lacassine Cardinals baseball team scored a nice 11-3 victory over the Hathaway Hornets.
The Cardinals (9-6) will now prepare for their game against South Beauregard (Longville, LA). The Knights go into the non-league game with a 13-2 record. In their last game, South Beauregard ran past Fairview (Grant, LA), 12-2, in a non-league game.
The Hornets (1-8) will now prepare for their game against Grand Lake (Lake Charles, LA). The Hornets go into the non-league game with a 6-5 record. In their last game, Grand Lake was overwhelmed by Vinton (Vinton, LA), 4-3, in a league game.
