North Cross Raiders (Roanoke, VA) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the visiting Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA), 9-8 in a non-league battle.
The Raiders now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host New Covenant for a VISAA Division 3 contest on Tuesday, March 19. North Cross will confront a Gryphons squad coming off a 17-2 league loss to Blue Ridge (St. George, VA). The Gryphons record now stands at 0-1.
The Cavaliers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Patrick Henry for a non-league contest on Wednesday, March 20.
