New Mexico High School Softball - Valencia topped by Cibola

In Thursday's non-league contest, the Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) softball team overwhelmed the host Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM), by a margin of 18-0.

With the triumph, Cibola moves its record to 3-3 on the year. The Cougars host Manzano (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Monarchs in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 26. The Monarchs come into the contest with a record of 2-5. Manzano won 22-2 in their recent non-league contest against Highland (Albuquerque, NM)

In their next game, the Jaguars play the Bloomfield Bobcats (Bloomfield, NM) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 16. Valencia will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Bobcats come into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Saugus (Saugus, CA).
