Clinton Dark Horses (Clinton, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mintz Christian Academy Lions (Roseboro, NC), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Dark Horses now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Union for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 15. Clinton will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 11-5 league loss to Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Mintz Christian Academy falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Lions host Antioch Christian Academy (Lumberton, NC) to battle the Gators in a challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Antioch Christian Academy won 20-8 in their recent non-league challenge against New Life Christian Academy (Clinton, NC)
