Louisiana High School Softball - Ponchatoula bounces Covington

The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) and the visiting Covington Lions (Covington, LA), saw Ponchatoula's softball squad achieve victory over Covington by a count of 17-7.

The Green Wave now sport a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to French Settlement for a non-league match on Monday, March 18. Ponchatoula will face a Lions squad coming off a 11-10 non-league win over St. John (Plaquemine, LA). The Lions record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Covington falls to 6-10 on the campaign. The Lions host Benjamin Franklin (New Orleans, LA) to face the Falcons in a non-league match on Monday, March 18. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 2-6.
