The Falls Lake Firebirds softball team scored 12 runs and limited the host Franklinton Rams to 0 in the Firebirds non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Falls Lake moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Firebirds travel to Wakefield (Raleigh, NC) to encounter the Wolverines in a non-league test on Friday, March 15. The Wolverines come into the test with a record of 6-1. Wakefield won 10-1 in their recent non-league test against Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC)

The Rams (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Northern Nash (Rocky Mount, NC). The Knights come into the The Big East 2A/3A test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Northern Nash was routed by Nash Central (Rocky Mount, NC), 5-1, in a league test.
