Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Jefferson RISE Charter (Harvey, LA), 27-4 in a league challenge.

The now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Fisher for a 2A District 9 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Thomas Jefferson will battle a Gators squad coming off a 18-0 non-league win over St. Mary's Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Gators record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Jefferson RISE Charter falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The host Booker T. Washington (New Orleans, LA) to battle the Lions in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 18. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 3-4.
