The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) and the host Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC), saw Porter Ridge's softball squad nip Mount Pleasant by a count of 10-5.

The Pirates now sport a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Cabarrus for a non-league match on Monday, March 18. Porter Ridge will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 15-5 non-league loss to Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Mount Pleasant falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to South Stanly (Norwood, NC) to face the Rowdy Rebel Bulls in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A match on Tuesday, March 19. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls enter the match with a record of 5-1. South Stanly won 10-0 in their recent non-league match against Carson (China Grove, NC)
