Sacred Heart Trojans (Ville Platte, LA) fans exited the stadium satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their softball squad prevail over the host Westminster Academy Crusaders (Opelousas, LA), 16-0 in a league match.

The Trojans now sport a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to St. John for a non-league match on Saturday, March 16. Sacred Heart will face a Eagles squad coming off a 11-10 non-league loss to French Settlement (French Settlement, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Westminster Academy moves to 4-4 on the season. The Crusaders travel to St. Edmund (Eunice, LA) to face the Fighting Blue Jays in a 1A District 6 match on Friday, March 15. The Fighting Blue Jays go into the match with a record of 7-4. St. Edmund lost 3-0 in their recent league match against Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA)
