Trigg County Wildcats (Cadiz, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Webster County Trojans (Dixon, KY), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Union County for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 15. Trigg County will battle a Braves squad coming off a 18-1 non-league win over McLean County (Calhoun, KY). The Braves record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Webster County falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Trojans host Marshall County (Benton, KY) to battle the Marshals in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 15. The Marshals enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Marshall County won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Hickman County (Clinton, KY)
