In Friday's non-league bout, the Albany Hornets (Albany, LA) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Varnado Wildcats (Angie, LA), by a score of 13-0.
Next up, the Hornets encounter the Bogalusa Lumberjacks (Bogalusa, LA) in a 3A District 8 bout, on Tuesday, March 18. Albany will attempt to advance on its 8-7 season record. The Lumberjacks enter the bout with a 4-5 record after their 10-0 league loss to Doyle (Livingston, LA).
The Wildcats (1-7) will now prepare for their bout against Salmen (Slidell, LA). The Spartans enter the non-league bout with a 3-13 record. In their last bout, Salmen was overwhelmed by Fisher (Lafitte, LA), 16-2, in a non-league bout.
