In Friday's non-league game, the host Dodson Panthers baseball team scored a close 2-0 win over the Arcadia Hornets.
The Panthers (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, LA). The Bulldogs go into the C District 2 game with a 6-2 record. In their last game, Harrisonburg nudged LaSalle (Olla, LA), 18-12, in a non-league game.
Next, the Hornets play the Cedar Creek Cougars (Ruston, LA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 19. Arcadia will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Cougars go into the game with a 7-13 record after their 4-0 non-league win over West Ouachita (West Monroe, LA).
