In Friday's non-league bout, the Waccamaw Warriors (Pawley's Island, SC) baseball squad edged the host Myrtle Beach Seahawks (Myrtle Beach, SC), by a tally of 3-2.

Next up, the Warriors encounter the Marlboro County Bulldogs (Bennettsville, SC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 18. Waccamaw will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 8-7 non-league win over Anson (Wadesboro, NC).

The Seahawks (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against St. James (Murrells Inlet, SC). The Sharks enter the 5A Region 5 bout with a 1-5 record. In their last bout, St. James was nudged by Wando (Mt. Pleasant, SC), 3-0, in a non-league bout.
