The Ocean Springs Greyhounds baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Sumrall Bobcats to 0 in the Greyhounds non-league win on Friday.
The Greyhounds now hold a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Biloxi for a 7A Region 4 test on Tuesday, March 18. Ocean Springs will play a Indians team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS). The Indians record now stands at 6-5.
With the defeat, Sumrall drops to 11-5 on the year. The Bobcats host Purvis (Purvis, MS) to play the Tornadoes in a 4A Region 7 test on Tuesday, March 18. The Tornadoes go into the test with a record of 12-4.
