The Orange Grove Bulldogs (Orange Grove, TX) baseball got by the visiting Rockport-Fulton Pirates (Rockport, TX), 5-4 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to London for a 3A Region IV District 30 challenge on Tuesday, March 18. Orange Grove will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 9-2 non-league win over Goliad (Goliad, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 13-4.

With the defeat, Rockport-Fulton drops to 7-5 on the year. The Pirates host West Oso (Corpus Christi, TX) to clash with the Bears in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 18. The Bears go into the challenge with a record of 7-3. West Oso won 14-8 in their recent non-league challenge against King (Kingsville, TX)
