The Van Buren County Eagles (Spencer, TN) basketball edged the host Coalfield Yellow Jackets (Coalfield, TN), 54-52 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Eagles now possess a 25-6 record. They play next when they host Greenfield for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 15. Van Buren County will play a Yellowjackets team coming off a 47-40 non-league win over Richland (Lynnville, TN). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 20-6.
With the loss, Coalfield falls to 32-6 on the campaign.
