The Shishmaref Northern Lights basketball team scored 43 points and limited the visiting Hoonah Braves to 40 in the Northern Lights non-league triumph on Friday.

The Northern Lights now possess a 13-12 record. They play next when they travel to Bristol Bay for a non-league game on Saturday, March 15. Shishmaref will confront a Angels team coming off a 43-27 non-league win over Akiuk Memorial (Kasigluk, AK). The Angels record now stands at 18-7.

With the loss, Hoonah falls to 15-7 on the campaign.
