Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Burlington Christian Academy Royals (Burlington, NC) and the host Statesville Christian Lions (Statesville, NC), saw Burlington Christian Academy's soccer squad hold off Statesville Christian by a count of 2-1.

The Royals (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Cristo Rey Research Triangle (Durham, NC). The Bulls enter the NCISAA Triad battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Cristo Rey Research Triangle was edged by Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill (Durham, NC), 9-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Lions battle the Sheets Memorial Christian Eagles (Lexington, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 27. Statesville Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
