The Gilmer Bobcats soccer squad scored 2 points and held the host Calhoun Yellow Jackets to 1 in the Bobcats league victory on Friday.
The Bobcats now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Adairsville for a 3A Region 7 bout on Tuesday, March 18. Gilmer will play a Tigers squad coming off a 8-0 league win over LaFayette (LaFayette, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 7-1.
With the loss, Calhoun moves to 3-7 on the year. The Yellow jackets travel to Ridgeland (Rossville, GA) to play the Panthers in a 3A Region 7 bout on Tuesday, March 18. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-8. Ridgeland 3-3 in their recent non-league bout against North Murray (Chatsworth, GA)
