North Carolina High School Soccer - Providence Grove knocks off East Davidson

March 14, 2025: Franklinville, NC 27233

The Providence Grove Patriots soccer squad scored 7 points and held the visiting East Davidson Golden Eagles to 3 in the Patriots non-league victory on Friday.

The Patriots now hold a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Uwharrie Charter Academy for a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A bout on Monday, March 17. Providence Grove will play a Eagles squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, East Davidson moves to 1-5 on the year. The Golden eagles host Asheboro (Asheboro, NC) to play the Blue Comets in a non-league bout on Monday, March 17. The Blue Comets go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Asheboro won 1-0 in their recent non-league bout against Richmond (Rockingham, NC)
